Smart Arts

Jul 4, 2023

MVC has been very fortunate to have musicians from the Cross Wires music mentoring program, teaching our students about songwriting, recording and music production. Soraya, Josh, Yanni and Adam have been coming to College every Wednesday afternoon to work with students, helping them to write songs, record hip-hop music and play guitar.

The workshops are part of a program called “Cross Wires” which is funded by the NSW    Government and is an initiative of SmartArts. The aim is to engage local youth in the arts and our students, particularly Blayde, Exvin, Tahlia and Josh, have thoroughly enjoyed the workshops and really appreciated the opportunity to create music. Special thanks  Denni Scott-Davis who secured the funding.

Thank you to Pat for organising Smart Arts to include VC in the Crossed Wires program.
